With the ECFA campaign taking a break the Academy had a friendly game against Kingsthorpe sports College.
A much changed starting eleven was selected with some of the fringe players getting there chance to impress. A tough first half was well fought by the Academy and the side battled well to keep the chances down and went in at half time level.
Changes were made at half time but the Northants side scored first through a set play from a free kick. The Academy showed character to get back in the game and some quick thinking from Lyudmil Georgiev and Tom Walpole from a free kick saw the home side level through Joe Wright (8). The Academy scored again a minute later with Wright being brought down in the penalty area and Walpole converting.
With Kingsthorpe attacking the play opened up and BHC scored there third (Wright) and fourth (Goodband) goals to seal there first win of the season.
Kingsthorpe provided difficult opposition and the Academy can be pleased with there overall performance throughout the game.
Good performances came from Joe Wright (8) Tom Walpole and man of the match Lyudmil Georgiev.
